Rules for Participating

TCR is all about inclusive rides where anyone can join and participate. We don’t care what type of bike you’re riding, how old you are, what you look like or what colour your underwear is! These rides are intended to be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. That said, we have a few simple rules:

  1. Don’t be a dick. Actions that interfere with other riders enjoyment are not welcome.
  2. Clean up after yourself. Nobody wants to roll up on a spot we were just at and see dozens of empty cans rolling around. Yes, people pick up cans, but that doesn’t mean you can just leave the place looking like trash. Remember nobody picks up bottle caps, six pack rings, plastic bags or anything else like that. If you brought it, you’re responsible for it!
  3. We expect a certain level of courtesy towards other users of the parks and roads where we ride. Actions that cause others to feel unsafe are particularly frowned upon. Riding out in to traffic and yelling at or harassing others are examples of behaviours that are not welcome in our group.
  4. You are responsible for your own safety and security. These rides are not tours, just a group of friendly people going in the same direction. This calendar is presented as a convenience for cyclists. Terminal City Riders and our associated bike clubs are neither responsible for nor endorse the activities listed.
